Today, we produce more than four hundred elements of 19 furniture families, but development does not stop
My colleagues and I sometimes say that Faktum resembles a child who is constantly entering adolescence . Sometimes his voice changes a little, sometimes his movements are clumsy, but the peculiar mixture of childlike creativity and blossoming intellect enables him to create great and memorable things.
In addition to the business, economic and other results and objectives presented in an appropriate manner on a company website, perhaps we would like the most for Faktum to remain as an adolescent in spirit as long as possible. So that we and our colleagues don't just see thousands of sold baby cots in front of us, not just products that are drilled, carved, assembled, packaged, soaring or stumbling graphs, but also see behind it all the oblivious smile of that tiny baby who spends the first days of his life , our Faktum furniture will spend its years with us. And let them see the worried, initially uncertain parents who are preparing for the biggest change of their lives.
Let them feel that renewal is adaptation to changes, in fact, unwavering rebirth.

2006
Development, development in all areas
In addition to our own store, which also serves as a showroom, we have started selling our products online. Today, we have sold more children's furniture online than in the first 3 years of our existence.
Our partnerships are excellent. Thanks to dedicated resellers who are also obsessed with babies, our products are available to customers in almost every part of the country.
In 2014, we reached another station. With the use of tender resources, we started a significant modernization, as a result of which not only our environmental awareness will be better satisfied, but also our colleagues can work in more modern conditions.
2003
2003 is coming of age
We reached one of the most important milestones in the Faktum story: in 2003, after a long sublease, we finally found our own home . As of this year, Faktum has its own 12,000-square-meter premises, including a 2,000-square-meter plant and a high-capacity, high-quality machine park. And perhaps most importantly: we have 55 well-trained, dedicated employees.
After the turn of the millennium, Faktum also established itself internationally. Tens of thousands of children from Greece to Ireland are sleeping their first dreams in Faktum baby beds, sleeping in rooms furnished with Faktum wardrobes. Perhaps this is the driving force that hasn't changed an iota from the initial spark. Faktum does not produce miniature adult furniture, but real children's furniture for children!
1998
Transformation, inspired by English
A pivotal point in Faktum's history was when our first export to England took place in 1998. We considered the deal opportune, but we were inexorably dragged into international expansion , which was not served by the previous company form. Almost exactly 5 years after the founding of the company, in March 1999, we changed our name to Faktum Bútor Kft. At that time, we were operating in a 700-square-meter factory with a team of 19 employees.
We entrusted the design of the baby furniture to two great designers - László Rományi and Eszter Sándor. Their creative imagination and inventive ideas have made the first years of many thousands of young children joyful and fun! In the meantime - in 1996 - we opened our first own furniture store in Szeged , and a year later our first doll store in the capital, Budapest.
1997
A new category, the "station wagon"
Those parents whose children were born in the last millennium can still well remember that for most of their parents, the high point of creating a home was when they bought the "combined wardrobe" that embellished the room. It was purposeful, multifunctional – bar cabinet, storage, showcase – and decorative. Creating something similar for children - it was a wild idea, then we realized it, by launching the first Kombi baby bed, we created a new category! It's a little bigger than a baby bed, but it's extremely practical and solid, which can be disassembled later and turned into a variety of home furnishing elements.
After the conversion of our latest Kombi furniture, the Makaó Kombi, a massive children's desk is now available for the child. Very practical furniture that can be used for many years. During our career, we have sold more than 5,000 combi furniture, and we are not talking about all those who bought one of the imitations.
1996
CNC and Viktor
These two concepts were decisive in our development. The purchase of the first CNC drilling machine in 1996 significantly reduced the production time of our furniture, which until then was made using manufacturing methods, and we were able to undertake more complex solutions. This is how our first truly breakthrough furniture family, Viktor, was born .
Viktor remained in our range for 20 years, and its quality is characterized by the fact that even in the first decade of the new millennium, customers whose children started their baby life in one of the first Viktor cots ordered components for it.
Contact with customers has played a central role in our operation from the very beginning. It couldn't have been otherwise, since we also made the "second" piece of furniture for the specific needs of a customer - more precisely, a friend. As soon as our first complete baby room equipment was ready, we already took it to exhibitions and trade fairs.
1994
The beginning of Faktum's history
Our first piece of furniture wasn't even real Faktum furniture. I fabricated it for my son, who was born then. Both went well…
The family and friends visiting the baby praised our baby at the same time and the – oops: practical! – children's clothes storage-shelf-wardrobe-diaper changing combination. When I started, it didn't seem like much of a challenge. I'm a woodworking engineer, my wife is a teacher, we thought that both the child and the furniture would start off in a good environment. Our children have grown up, and Faktum has also grown into such a joyful company that provides thousands of experiences. He didn't even have a name at first. Friends stopped by the first mule baby furniture , saying that if my son outgrows it, it might be good for them. Then their friends and their friends' friends showed up...
All of a sudden we realized that we were making furniture - for dolls. This basically determined the future of Faktum - which he had not even imagined at the time. It turned out for us that parents with babies want more than a simple baby bed , they also want other furniture suitable for their toddler! Faktum Möbel Bt was registered on March 7, 1994 with ambitious plans, but with borrowed capital, in a 40-square-meter, rented workshop, with 2 employees.
I planned, my majesty organized, and our employees produced and produced. Our first year's sales were HUF 4.6 million. I mention it only as an interesting point, this value increased 30 times in 5 years, and almost 50 times in 6 years. And in the first year, we didn't even have a regular, own machine.
